SureFire Institute - www.surefireinstitute.com

The SureFire Institute offers training for law enforcement and military personnel in low-light situations.
Students learn safe handling and use of firearms and edged weapons, and unarmed defensive and combative techniques in low light situations.
In the fall of 2007 Signal Point Network was contacted to take over as webmaster for SureFire Institute's website and clean up the entire site.
Signal Point Network again carefully studied the entire website to simplify the amount of content and to reduce the cost of maintenance.
Since the SureFire Institute offers many courses in many different locations at varying dates and times, they needed an easy way to keep their content up
to date and have the ability to quickly and easily update any changes. Signal Point Network's goal was to replace the way in which the course schedule was
displayed. The schedule was displayed on multiple pages by typing the information "by hand" on every page. Updating a "by hand" schedule is time consuming,
not cost effective and leaves room for human error since the information must be updated in multiple locations throughout the site.
Again Signal Point Network implemented the most cost effective approach for the SureFire Institute's course schedule maintenance.
By replacing the "by hand" procedure with a database oriented design, the schedule can easily be maintained by entering the details in a database.
Once the information is entered in the database the "behind the scenes" implementation for the website automatically displays the updated information on
every page through out the website. This eliminates the possibility of recurring human error since the data only needs to be entered in one place.
The SureFire Institute has many instructors and administrators and Signal Point Network was able to provide all the e-mail addresses needed for every member of the team.
Signal Point Network also added a contact form for visitors to use to quickly contact the SureFire Institute.
