Spiked Humor was started during the summer of 2005 in the hopes of becoming a top contender in the ever growing internet video realm.

Spiked Humor has since become extremely popular offering visitors videos, pictures, games, jokes and a blog. The site is driven by the users and site administrators who provide all the content. The users can rate the content, post comments and easily share all the content with friends. Signal Point Network was with Spiked Humor since its start in 2005 and implemented many of the site's great features.

Signal Point Network implemented Spiked Humor's XP (Experience Points) system. The XP system allows registered users to earn points while interacting with the site. Each time a user watches a video, views a picture, reads a joke, plays a game or reads a blog post, they earn points for their account. Once a user earns enough points, the points can be spent on ticket entries for monthly drawings which include cool prizes. Signal Point Network also implemented the system for tracking which user has submitted what ticket(s) for which drawing and keeping track of how many spendable points a user still has.

Spiked Humor's XP and monthly drawing became so popular that their site now has over 205,000 registered users. Any site with that many users will tell you that there will definitely be a few trouble makers in the bunch. To help combat the site's trouble makers, Signal Point Network implemented a user management system that can be used by site administrators while browsing the site. The user management system allows administrators to easily monitor user activity and lock out a user if they become troublesome.

Thanks to dedicated users, Spiked Humor now has over 37,000 videos - 36,000 pictures - 1,400 games - 2,500 jokes and 1,400 blog posts. With that much content Spiked Humor needed a way to mark the content to help show users the suggested age for the content they are about to view. Signal Point Network implemented a content rating system for users to be able to mark what content is within the media and then the media is automatically marked with the corresponding age bracket.

Signal Point Network strived to make Spiked Humor one of the best internet entertainment sites available.
